Chiropractic Manipulation Therapy (CMT)

There is a substantial amount of research indicating the many benefits of Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy (CMT) for neuromusculoskeletal problems. CMT consists of passive maneuvers in which specifically directed manual forces are applied to the vertebral and extra vertebral articulations of the body, with the objective of restoring mobility to restricted areas and/or restoring alignment. Chiropractic manipulation (aka adjustments) can be very effective in restoring joint function, mobility, and alignment which leads to improved range of motion and reduced pain. Dr. Hartje primarily utilizes the following CMT adjusting techniques:  Diversified technique (most widely implemented by chiropractors) and gentle Thompson Drop Table technique, Impulse/Activator instrument adjusting technique and Cox Flexion-Distraction technique. If you would like a detailed explanation of any these CMT techniques, feel free to email us.

Dr. Hartje has treated patients from one day old to ninety-eight years young, and he carefully chooses and/or adapts the CMT that fits best regarding the injury, other health problems, age, and patient sensitivity.
